The List

I arrived home safe and sound (and tired and happy) last night.

Dude gave me a hug and unloaded the car (and noticed the new bags.)  (Yes, plural.)

Ned totally snubbed me.

Aurora wouldn't let me out of her touch-range.

Nickie outdid Aurora and just sat on me.

And then Mr Destructo knocked over a lamp (and I'm not referring to the bi-ped.)

I have now ordered scat mats.

Yarnaquisition

I ponder if it is really necessary to document the stash acquisition.  (I'm much more likely to just bring it out and tell you when and where I picked it up when I start knitting with it.)

But I came home with a lot.  (And some acquisition guilt.  (But not too much.)  Next year I will catalog that which I bring.  (This year, I brought all my linen yarns and some books and "gifty" things.  (Last year, it was all my cottons and magazines.)  Linen just seems to rip up my hands and although I love it once knitted; I can't seem to knit with it.)

Anyway.

That photo shows:

Underneath it all, 2 (large) squooshy skeins of Briar Rose Fibers corridale in the Charity colorway (purple and deep green).  For a sweater
(no scoffing!) for me.  This was something I spotted from afar while
helping set up the sale area  (a.k.a. scoping the wares).  Chris
politely placed two matching skeins at the front of her table, in my
path.  (Enabler!)

(on the far left) 2 skeins Alpaca Yarn from Whispering Winds Alpaca Farms, 4 ounces/235 yds,  Natural White.  Luciously soft.  And intended to be a cowl for my sister (because she liked the store model at Harrisville Designs).

2 balls of Cascade Fixation in Colorway 9941 (for socks, for Mom) from the Stash Room.

1 skein of Sockatta from the Stash Room.  (It looked like butterscotch candy to me.)

(in front) Lots of bits and bobs – 10 to 25 yds of scraps and samples.  I have
this idea that I will make more tiny socks and tiny sweaters and tiny
hats for a garland.  (And actually thread them onto a garland.)  (From the Stash Room)

1 150 g Colormart cone of Cashmere, in Palest Blue (looks grey to me).  (From the Stash Room)

1 skein Mountain Colors, 100 g/350 yds, Red Tail Hawk colorway.  I think this was from the Stash Room.  (And I don't actually see in it in the photo.)

(smack in the middle) 1 skein Artyarns Silk Rhapsody, 100g/260 yds, 50% silk and 50% Kid Mohair, in Colorway #155 turquoise, teal and purple.  (I don't remember picking this up (Funny how that happens!).  It is soft and desirable and my colors.)

(I'm only kidding here – I don't remember picking this up and if it somehow got mixed up in my stuff, and came home with me, and you were planning on it for something; please speak up.  I'll be glad to send it somewhere.  If not, I'll be glad to knit it.)

2 skeins of Spirit Trail Fiberworks new sock yarn, Sunna %75 superwash merino, 15% cashmere,10% bombyx silk.   In the Thunder Mountain colorway (deep blacks, browns, and some green) and Fiesta colorway (bright red, green, brown and it had better pool into a Baktus scarf!)) (4 ounces, 350 yds)

This new setup is delightlful.   (The red Fiesta colorway is easily identifiable in the pic, Thunder Mountain is to the left:  Fiesta, ArtYarns, Purple, and Thunder Mountain.)

The Purple is from the Stash Room.  Larkspur Funny Farm Fibers in the Shabby Iris colorway.  1/3 cashmere, 1/3 Angora, 1/3 merino; 200 yds. (I liked the color and it felt good.)

(Above the red Fiesta) String Theory Caper Sock (80% merino, 10% cashmere, 10%  nylon; 4 ounces, 400 yds) in the Nerrivik colorway (forest greens and browns).  (Again, I'm looking for pooling in a Baktus scarf.)

(Below the red Fiesta) is a skein of Buffalo Gold Lux #12 (45% bison, 20% cashmere, 20% silk, 15% %
Tencel) (scrumptious) 4 ounces, 330 yards in the Colorado Spruce colorway.  (I won it as a door prize.  Wheeeeee!)

(Above the Purple, next to the Sockatta) is some Artyarns beaded silk in an unidentified colorway.  The site says 100 yards/50 g and it looks like the Fern colorway.  This was a Score! from the Stash Room.  I have no idea what it will be but it reminds me of spring and I like touching it.

The large pancake of yellow-gold represents the sweater's worth of Brooks Fiber Tierra Blend from the Stash Room.  (Is there any remaining skepticism when I say the Stash Room is unbelievably cool?)

Nedstash

Ned thinks so too.

p.s.  Tomorrow, the books.
