I think I saw this yarn last year, but ignored it.

It wasn’t 100% Samoyed.  (It’s a 30/70 mix with Merino.)  I wasn’t interested in “novelty” yarn.  I didn’t need yarn.  blah blah blah

(Last year, I was on a mission for a specific yarn for a specific project.)

x

(No, that project is not done.  What of it???  It was a bolero and I decided that it wasn’t the most flattering garment.  The yarn waits.)

It reminds me of my Boris hat.  The hat I made from yarn spun from my dog. The hat that I am afraid to wear because I’m terrified of losing it.

So, I bought a skein.

While I was there, I noticed some fabulous colors of sock yarn, with Samoyed.

So I bought that too.

where I was charmed by the name:  Beauty and The Beast.  (40% yak, 40% alpaca, 20% bamboo)

And then there was this:

Quiviut?  For that price?  Had to take some home …

p.s.  And I desperately want a reason to knit with that Roly Poly bump (posted yesterday).  Just because it looks cool.  Maybe I could justify it as “art”?

p.p.s.  The Still River Mill booth was delightful.
